General Description
EDDIE Tilt Buckets – Flexible Tilting for Slopes, Trenches and Grading Work
The EDDIE FTB01 and FTB02 Tilt Buckets are hydraulic excavator attachments designed for precise earthmoving, grading and landscaping applications. Their hydraulic tilting function allows the bucket angle to be adjusted during operation, making it easier to adapt to different terrain conditions.
The special single-cylinder dual-balance control structure enables dynamic bucket tilt adjustment within a range of up to 45°. This allows slopes, trenches and uneven surfaces to be processed without constantly repositioning the excavator.
With two models for excavators from 2 to 6 tons, the range covers compact mini excavators and small carrier machines. The FTB01 features a 1,000 mm width and 0.11 m³ capacity, while the larger FTB02 provides a 1,500 mm width and 0.255 m³ capacity.
Key Advantages at a Glance
- For excavators from 2 to 6 tons: Two models – FTB01 and FTB02 – for different compact carrier machines.
- Hydraulic tilt function: The bucket can be dynamically tilted within a range of up to 45°.
- Single-cylinder dual-balance control: The special design provides controlled and balanced tilt adjustment.
- Adaptation to complex terrain: Suitable for slopes, trenches and uneven surfaces.
- Reduced excavator repositioning: The bucket angle can be adjusted without constantly moving the entire carrier machine.
- Large working widths: Available in 1,000 and 1,500 mm widths.
- Capacity up to 0.255 m³: Model capacities are 0.11 and 0.255 m³.
- Low hydraulic flow requirement: Required oil flow is 13–18 or 15–20 l/min, depending on the model.
- 230 kg/cm² operating pressure: Both models are designed for the same maximum hydraulic pressure.
Flexible Tilting with Excavator Hydraulics
EDDIE Tilt Buckets are operated through the excavator's hydraulic system. The integrated hydraulic cylinder changes the bucket angle, allowing it to adapt to the terrain during operation.
Both models operate at a maximum working pressure of 230 kg/cm². The FTB01 requires an oil flow of 13–18 l/min, while the larger FTB02 requires 15–20 l/min.
The hydraulic tilting function overcomes the single-degree-of-freedom limitation of conventional fixed buckets. This makes it possible to adjust the working angle in real time rather than repeatedly repositioning the excavator.
Designed for Slopes and Uneven Terrain
A major advantage of EDDIE Tilt Buckets is their ability to adapt to changing ground angles during operation. When working on slopes or trenches, the bucket can be tilted relative to the carrier machine while the excavator remains largely in the same position.
This makes the attachment particularly useful for precise grading and shaping applications where a conventional fixed bucket would require frequent machine repositioning.
Versatile for Earthmoving and Landscaping Applications
EDDIE Tilt Buckets are particularly suitable for:
- Slope work: Shaping and grading inclined surfaces
- Trenching: Profiling and finishing trenches
- Grading: Levelling and finishing ground surfaces
- Landscaping: Creating and maintaining different terrain profiles
- Earthmoving: Handling and distributing soil
- Road construction: Finishing roadside slopes and shoulders
- Uneven terrain: Adjusting the bucket angle to changing ground conditions
EDDIE – Hydraulic Tilt Buckets for Excavators from 2 to 6 Tons
From the compact FTB01 for excavators from 2 to 4 tons to the larger FTB02 for excavators from 5 to 6 tons, EDDIE offers two Tilt Bucket models for precise earthmoving, grading and slope work.
A hydraulic tilt range of up to 45°, working widths of up to 1,500 mm and capacities of up to 0.255 m³ make the range a flexible solution for professional work on changing and uneven terrain.
